Product Review
Soko Glam recently had a great sale on all Dear, Klairs products, so I thought I’d do a review on the brand and the products I purchased. Klairs is a popular K-Beauty brand that lives by the motto, “Simple but enough.” Their products are mild, yet powerful when it comes to ingredients. With sensitive skin in mind, Klairs utilizes raw natural ingredients that are necessary and effective. The brand is also vegetarian, becoming vegan, cruelty-free, and environmentally friendly.
Klairs has always been a brand that I adore. I’ve used, and loved, some of their products like the Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil, the Supple Preparation Facial Toner, and the Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Serum. So I was excited to try some products I haven’t before. Let’s jump into it!
Klairs, Midnight Blue Calming Sheet Mask
$3
I’ve used this sheet mask, but it was before I started my blog! I purchased it again because I loved it so much the first time. This sheet mask includes willow bark extract, centella asiatica extract, and tea tree oil. There is also a special ingredient called erythritol, which helps lower your skin’s temperature. This mask is great for calming redness, inflammation, sunburn, and enlarged pores. It smells very clean and natural, and feels super soothing, especially when chilled.
This sheet mask is very unique because it’s made of bamboo charcoal, which gives it that black color; the charcoal helps draw out impurities. I love how this mask feels! It clings to your face very nicely and really helps calm down any irritation. It also helps clear blemishes very quickly. The full price is $3 on Soko Glam, which I think is affordable for a sheet mask of such high quality. I’d especially recommend it in the summer time.
Klairs, Rich Moist Tencel Sheet Mask
$3
I’ve used this mask before as well and it’s always a pleasant experience. It includes ceramides, aloe vera, and centella asiatica. I loved that this mask was made of tencel. It has a very smooth texture and holds onto the essence much longer than regular cotton sheet masks. I usually like when sheet masks come in two pieces, but I had a hard time unwrapping this one.
After removing this mask my skin was very hydrated and calm. There wasn’t anything in particular that was astounding, but it did leave my skin feeling great. This mask was $3 which seems on point to me. It did what it claimed, with quality ingredients and materials. Definitely worth a try!
Klairs, Midnight Blue Calming Cream
$24.50
I have been dying to try this cream forever! It’s partnered with the Midnight Blue Calming Sheet Mask; this cream also contains centella asiatica extract. The unique blue color comes from guaiazulene, or, a calming agent extracted from chamomile oil. There is also shea butter, jojoba oil, bees wax, broccoli extract, lavender oil, citrus oils, and more.
The texture is so rich and creamy, but not heavy! I’d describe it as somewhat firm. It absorbs into the skin quickly too. There isn’t much of a smell, it really just smells like a facial cream if that makes sense. I mostly use it at night, but it can be used in the day time too.
I’ve really been enjoying this cream. I can definitely see the calming effects, even minutes after applying it. I love mixing it with an oil like my 100% squalane oil from DECEIM. While I understand there are quality ingredients in here, I do wish it came with a little more product. The jar holds about 1 oz. For this amount, it is a tad pricey, but I think the results are second to none. This cream is so worth it!
Klairs, Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask
$27
This mask/moisturizer has become a holy grail for me! I mentioned it before in my Best 18 of 2018 post, and rightfully so. It’s made with vitamin E, niacinamide, adenosine, hyaluronic acid, carrageenan, ceramides, centella asiatica, natural oils, and more. The citrus, lavender, and blackberry components really come through in the scent.
There is a unique texture that reminds me of creamy jello, and it melts into the skin so nicely upon contact. It’s very bouncy, and lovely to use. This mask is great because it can be used as a daily moisturizer, a sleeping pack, or a wash off mask. I love using it in the morning as a moisturizer, and occasionally as a sleeping pack at night when I need a little extra oomf.
It leaves my skin very hydrated, it absorbs in so quickly, and gives me a dewy yet mattified, bouncy finish. When used as a sleeping pack, my skin is always so juicy and plump the next morning. It’s slightly pricey for 3 oz. of product, but a little goes a long way, and the results really come through. This mask works well with a serum like the COSRX x Charlotte Cho Triple C Lightning Liquid, because vitamin E and vitamin C boost each other’s benefits. I’ve noticed my dark spots fade faster when I use this duo. Definitely check this mask out, you won’t regret it!
Klairs, Rich Moist Soothing Cream
$23
I personally don’t use this moisturizer, but I bought it for my boyfriend, Mr. Skin Quench. This will be my first review with input from someone else who’s used a product! This cream is partnered with the Rich Moist Tencel Sheet Mask. It includes shea butter, jojoba oil, ceramides, papya fruit extract, and so many other natural components. When it comes to the texture, Mr. Skin Quench reports that it’s very light weight, so much so that it feels like he has nothing on his face. I think that’s saying something, especially coming from someone with facial hair. He tells me that there is no scent, and it’s very absorbent.
Mr. Skin Quench has noticed that using this cream helps heal his blemishes at a quicker rate. According to him, the cream prevents these spots from becoming dry and flakey as they heal. While he hasn’t tried any other moisturizers yet (we’ll work on that), he is definitely enjoying sticking to this one. In fact, he’s almost on his second tube! I will say that his skin stays looking dewy, and not too greasy throughout the day too.
The cream comes in a 2 oz. container, and a little goes a long way. While Mr. Skin Quench is guilty of *gulp* skipping his routine every now and then, which I do not condone, it has lasted him quite a while. I think this product is a decent price for what you’re getting. Maybe your S/O will enjoy it too!
You really can’t go wrong with Klairs. They have something for everyone. Have you tried any of their products? Let me know your thoughts!
